A MAGIC FLORAL EXPERIENCE OVER 4 DAYS AMONG THE DREAMY GOLDEN HILLS OF TUSCANY;  FLOWERS, DESIGN, BUSINESS, NEW FRIENDS, ADVENTURE, LOCAL WINE AND BEAUTIFUL FOOD. 

Together we'll explore and gather inspiration from the landscapes, ancient villages and the family owned property of Puscina Flowers,  in the province of Siena, Tuscany.   Join Tanya for four days of floral design, creative restoration, fun, friendships, personal and business growth in this breathtaking and inspiring location. 

Puscina Flowers is a small flower farm run by three sisters, Mara, Teresa & Laura, who after heading off on their own personal adventures, returned home to their family farm to start a flower growing project that is now their thriving business.

We'll spend two full days at Puscina Flowers,  harvesting from the garden beds, learning new design techniques (and mastering old ones), discussing business and design and of course dine together with a glass (or two!) of local wine.   We'll collect and work with the seasons best;  The Tuscan summer heat brings dahlias, zinnias, garden roses, cosmos & an array of airy and delicate textures, grasses and vines. Our first night and last day together will be spent in the local villages, countryside and vineyards not far from the farm.

Tanya will share her way of floral design and the knowledge she's gained from her travels visiting workshops, farms and designers around the globe.  She will share her favourite bontanics for the season, give a brief overview of the way she uses colour, texture and form to achieve a  free & untamed style while remaining intentional with her designs.  Tanya will answer all your design questions, with nothing off limits! 

Each attendee will have the opportunity to arrange their own trailing, bountiful bridal bouquet &  texture filled centrepiece.  
Tanya will demonstrate a large-scale installation using real-life techniques, foraged branches and Puscina's summery blooms, and together as a team, we will complete its abundance.  
She will also discuss photoshoot and styling basics, designing and building beautiful tablescapes & how to approach collaborative styled shoots.

On our second and final day at Puscina Flowers, we will create a beautifully styled tablescape and gather together to enjoy freshly prepared food and local wine during golden hour.

On our last day together, we'll enjoy a picnic brunch while Tanya discusses the lessons she's learnt so far in growing a  floral and event design business, her business strategies, pricing, proposals, social media and time-saving tips  (attendees will receive a hardcopy of Tanya's price guide and service information, visual proposal and contract).  With new flower friendships formed, we will then head off on a vineyard tour to celebrate and toast to our unforgettable experience together. 

Attendees will have their work beautifully styled and professionally photographed for their portfolio and website use during the workshop.   Attendees will also receive candid images and a headshot. 

Once you have settled back in at home and started implementing your new skills and techniques, it's likely you'll have a few or a hundred new questions, Tanya has experienced this herself, and so included in this workshop is a half hour 1:1 Skype follow up for all attendees.

• Facebook group access-You'll be invited to a Facebook group especially for our Tuscan Summer Workshop where you can meet, liaise and plan your travel and activities with others also attending the workshop.

This class is suitable for all design levels.  It is aimed at those mad flower lovers, those exploring the field,  beginners within the floral industry  & those wanting to expand and refine their skills, aesthetic & portfolio.  To keep things intimate and to maintain a great learning environment, there is a maximum of 12 students for this class.

Introductions
Tour of Puscina Flowers
Foraging and collecting from Puscina's flowers beds and surrounding fields
Bouquet Demonstration;  abundant & rambling bridal bouquets
Late Lunch
Hands-on flowering; Students create their own bouquet with guidance from Tanya
(Students bouquets modelled, styled and photographed)
Styling & photoshoot basics discussion

--DAY THREE
Travel to Puscina Flowers
Brunch at the Pusicina Flowers
Centrepiece Demonstration;  tumbling & airy arrangements for any table
Hands-on flowering; Attendees create their own dreamy masterpiece
(students work will be simply styled and photographed)
Tables styling basics discussion (with working lunch)
Short break/attendees free to explore the farm & wander
Installation Theory discussion
Group Installation lead by Tanya and designed together as a team

1:1 Skype meetings with Tanya can be scheduled within 4 months following the workshop.  This is a great opportunity to pull together design and business questions after trialling techniques you learnt at the workshop. 

INVESTMENT  

       
We understand this is an investment in yourself, and very much appreciate the sacrifices made to come along.  We are offering an affordable payment plan of 3 instalments;

Please note, places are NOT refundable.  In the unfortunate situation, you may become unable to attend, you place can be transferred to another at your own doing.  This action will need to be recorded with Oh Flora.
There is a minimum of 7 students needed for the class to be held.  In the unfortunate event, we do not meet this minimum, all students will receive a full refund.  All students will be informed at least 60 days prior to workshop start date - please keep this in mind when booking flights and insurance.

PLEASE NOTE:  Travel & accommodation is NOT included.  Upon booking, you will receive a short list of hotel recommendations in the local areas of Montepulciano & Pienza.  Our 'Oh Flora Shuttle Bus' will pick up from 2 selected locations, 1 x location in Montepulciano & 1 x location in Pienza.  We will pick up and drop off at these locations on days two & three of the workshop.  We will also provide travel to and from the final day's picnic brunch and during the vineyard tour.  Travel to and from our welcome dinner in Montepulciano on the first night is NOT included.

You are welcome to carpool with other attendees to the farm & picnic brunch.  Puscina Flowers is roughly a 10-15 min drive from both of the above villages.  Puscina Flower's address and directions will be sent to you in an information pack closer to the time of the workshop.   If you plan on this option, please let us know. 

We always recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance when travelling abroad.  It's also important to check if you may need a visa to access Italy or when in transit (stopovers).

Skype follow up meetings are to be scheduled within 5 months following the workshop.
