A MAGIC FLORAL DESIGN, BUSINESS & CULTURE FILLED EXPERIENCE OVER 4 DAYS IN BEAUTIFUL MEXICO CITY.
Join Tanya of Oh Flora Studio along with local host, Jime of Floweriize for four days of floral design, creative restoration, fun, friendships, personal and business growth in this inspiring & historic location.
Together we'll spend this unforgettable time exploring and gathering inspiration from local markets, outings & tours, unique botanics, produce & artisan products while surrounded by beautiful architecture, immersed in Mexico’s unique culture. Our design space will be inside a dreamy Casa Porfiriana, which dates back to the early 1900’s, in the affluent and stylish neighbourhood of Roma Norte, Mexico City.
From the very beginnings of Oh Flora through to her now thriving business and recognisable designs, Tanya will share her way of floral design and the knowledge she's gained from her experience in the floral and event industry and answer all your design & business questions - with nothing off limits! She’ll openly discuss her preferred techniques & resources, where she turns to for fresh inspiration & the lessons learnt along the way. She will also share her behind the scenes business processes, pricing, proposals, social media and time-saving tips. Attendees will receive a hardcopy of Tanya's real price guide and service information, visual proposal and contract.
Each attendee will have the opportunity to arrange their own rambling, bountiful bouquet & texture filled centrepiece with personal instruction from both Tanya & Jime.
A large statement urn will be arranged step by step by Tanya, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos.
Using real-life techniques, together we will complete an abundant large scale floral installation for our very own dinner party! We’ll enjoy the floral heaven we’ve created just as a guest would at a wedding or event. You’ll have time to relax, get ready and come back to enjoy food, music & cocktails - partners welcome!
Tanya will also discuss photoshoot and styling basics, designing and building beautiful tablescapes & how to approach collaborative styled shoots and grow your portfolio.
During the workshop, attendees will have their work beautifully styled and professionally photographed for their portfolio. Candid working images and a headshot (optional) will also be captured.
Along with loads for flowering and business discussions, we’ll visit the colour & texture filled plant market, take a ride down Xochimilco by trajinera, explore the artisan craft market & enjoy delicious, local cuisine.
Once you have settled back in at home and started implementing your new skills, techniques & processes, it's likely you'll have a few or a hundred new questions, Tanya has experienced this herself, and so included in this workshop is a half hour 1:1 Skype follow up for all attendees.

This class is suitable for all design levels. It is aimed at those mad flower lovers, those exploring the field, beginners within the floral industry & those wanting to expand and refine their skills, aesthetic & portfolio.
To keep things intimate and to maintain a great learning environment, there is a maximum of 15 students for this class.

We understand this is an investment in yourself, and very much appreciate the sacrifices made to come along. We are offering an affordable payment plan of 3 instalments;
First Instalment of $1100 AUD due at the time of booking to secure your place. Second of $1200 AUD due 20th Jan 2019. Third of $1200 AUD due 1st March 2019.
Please note, places are NOT refundable. In the unfortunate situation, you may become unable to attend, you place can be transferred to another at your own doing. This action will need to be recorded with Oh Flora.
There is a minimum of 7 students needed for the class to be held. In the unfortunate event, we do not meet this minimum, all students will receive a full refund. All students will be informed at least 60 days prior to workshop start date - please keep this in mind when booking flights and insurance.
PLEASE NOTE: Travel & accommodation is NOT included. Shortly upon booking, you will receive a short list of hotel recommendations in Roma Norte & surrounding areas. Roma Norte is one of the safest areas in Mexico City. During the workshop, to and from excursions, a safe car and driver will be provided for all Oh Flora workshop attendees and staff.
We always recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance when travelling abroad. It's also important to check if you may need a visa to access Mexico or when in transit (stopovers).
Skype follow up meetings are to be scheduled within 4 months following the workshop.
