Join Tanya and the Oh Flora team in beautiful Byron Bay for this unique, all inclusive design retreat. Four days and three nights of floral design, creative restoration, fun, friendships, personal and business growth in this inspiring, relaxed beachside location. Together we'll spend this unforgettable time designing dreamy florals, discussing the reality behind establishing and running a profitable floral design business and soak up all the knowledge shared while relaxing and feasting in our own private accommodation that’s just a short walk from Byron town and right by the ocean.
From the very beginnings of Oh Flora through to her now thriving business and recognisable designs, Tanya will share her way of floral design and the knowledge she's gained from her experience in the floral and event industry and answer all your design & business questions - with nothing off limits! She’ll openly discuss her preferred techniques & resources, where she turns to for fresh inspiration & the lessons learnt along the way. She will also share her behind the scenes business processes, pricing, proposals, social media and time-saving tips. Attendees will receive a hardcopy of Tanya's real price guide and service information, visual proposal and contract.
Each attendee will have the opportunity to arrange their own rambling, bouquet & texture filled centrepiece with personal instruction from both Tanya.
Tanya will demonstrate a ceremony arch filled with florals created with depth and botanical interest in mind, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos.
Using real-life techniques, together we will complete an abundant large scale floral installation for our very own dinner party. We’ll enjoy the floral heaven we’ve created while we enjoy our final dinner together. You’ll have time to relax, head back to your room and get ready to enjoy delicious local food, music & vino!
Besides loading of flowers and business discussions, Tanya will also discuss photography and styling basics, designing and building interesting and memorable tablescapes & how to approach grow , enhance or start your floral portfolio.
During the workshop, attendees will have their work beautifully styled and professionally photographed for their portfolio. Candid working images and a headshot (optional) will also be captured.

This class is suitable for all design levels. It is aimed at those flower lovers, those exploring the field, beginners within the floral industry & those wanting to expand and refine their skills, aesthetic & portfolio.
Our workshops and experiences are a great investment in your creative self and business or business goals. Many of the topics discussed and resources shared have taken Tanya years of experience and financial investments to attain.
To keep things intimate and to maintain a great learning environment, there is a maximum of 10 students for this class.

Discussion: An overview of the processes behind Oh Flora, important of goal setting, valuing and pricing your work, attracting your ideal clients and managing expectations.

Discussion: The basics of styling and photographing your work

Free time, morning walk or swim
Installation Theory Discussion: How to plan, design and execute installations and overall of material options and tools.
Demonstration: Ceremony arches
Lunch on site
Dinner party installation: Together as a team we will review a ‘proposal and mood board’ to design and install our own dinner party. We’ll create a large scale installation and beautiful tables with all the finer details of a boutique, real life wedding.

INVESTMENT
From $4200 AUD - $4500
price includes 3% processing fee
We understand this is an investment in yourself, and very much appreciate the sacrifices made to come along. We are offering an affordable payment plan of 3 installments;
First Installment of $800 to secure your place and your two final payments split between your remaining balance due on 1st June and 1st September . The cost of these payments will depend on the room type you choose.
Please note, all payments once made are non refundable. In the unfortunate situation, you may become unable to attend, you place can be transferred to another at your own doing. This action will need to be recorded with Oh Flora.
There is a minimum of 7 students needed for the class to be held. In the unfortunate event, we do not meet this minimum, all students will receive a full refund. All students will be informed at least 60 days prior to workshop start date - please keep this in mind when booking flights and insurance.
PLEASE NOTE: Travel is NOT included. Three nights accommodation is included in your ticket price. You have the option to choose your room type when registering and rooms will be priced accordingly. Rooms will be given to attendees on a first come basis. All meals and beverages , including breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday afternoon until Thursday morning are included In your ticket price, excluding Tuesday nights dinner so that you have some time to enjoy dining out in Byron Bay or relaxing.
We always recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance when travelling abroad. It's also important to check if you may need a visa to access Australia or when in transit (stopovers).
