Oh Flora Retreat | Santa Ynez, California
TWO YEARS ON and this dreamy workshop is finally up on the blog!
Today we are sharing this summery, rose filled and absolutely gorgeous destination workshop hosted in Santa Ynez, California at the stunning Grace Rose Farm.
While the team travelled all the way from Australia to host this one, attendees came from all over the States, Canada, The Phillipines, Switzerland and also Australia to immerse themselves in 4 days of creativity, nature and a joint love of flowers… and arranging them!
Gracie from Grace Rose Farm kindly allowed open access to her rose fields! Attendees learnt about the different varieties grown on the property on our own private tour and then were let loose to harvest their own blooms for their designs.
The rest of our floral product was sourced locally from a nearby farm, Ballard Canyon Farms, run by the lovely Molly and her family.
Over our days together, attendees created bountiful and lush bridal bouquets and centrepieces with instruction from Tanya and the team. We dove deep into discussions on small business, creating and growing a career as a professional floral and event designer - covering topics of pricing, proposals, client communications and all the things in between.
On our final night together, we created an abundant floral foam free hanging installation and dreamy, detail filled tablescape to enjoy and dine together.
