HEART OF GOLD

I always tell myself I'm going to post on here more often, and I hardly ever do!  I'm going to make it a goal for 2017 to post at least once a month, and I'm going to start a little early cos I have the most amazing shoot to share with you!

My friend Alice from FLORALISTA came to visit for a month recently and we went on a LOT of adventures!  We met a couple of years ago via Instagram.. I know!  Its a looong story (for another time) but we have become super close friends, especially considering we've probably only hung out in 'real time' a total of 6 weeks.

To finish off Alice's trip to Australia we headed to NZ (cos you know, the whole world pretty much thinks we're the same country!).  We flew into Auckland on the north island and drove to Gisbourne the next day to visit Field Of Roses!   Zoe, the owner and talent behind Field of Roses and I have been chatting for a long time and it was amazing to finally meet Zoe and her mum Sue and experience their absolutely beautiful farm - Ill try to do a post on it asap.  They are the loveliest and I'm so happy to now call them friends and flower sistas!

Anyway, onto this shoot.. After we finished in Gisbourne we headed to the Bay of Plenty, again such a gorgeous landscape, stunning beaches and yummy tacos!
We, at very last minute, organised this styled shoot (putting together to mood board on the plane on the way to NZ) and got lucky enough to lock in some of the most talented creatives in New Zealand!

Alice and I felt like doing something a little different to what we are used to working on and lately we have been pretty obsessed with 70's vibes,  so 'Heart of Gold' is the final product of this recent love of ours.  We picked wild daisies from the field and made these gorgeous daisy knickers and strung freshly harvested roses around our model Christina.  It turned out so dreamy!  I'm in love!
